Meet Our Elders

Our Elders Council consist of women who have been on this spiritual/magical walk for many years. Each one of them hand picked by Iya Omi for their energy and for their desire to see Dawtas of the Moon evolve into something powerful for all black women, their daughters, grand-daughters and so on.

The purpose of the Elders Council is to be the foundation, They are the bridge that connects us to the ancestral mothers. They help to guide us and create a safe haven for our sisters allowing each of us to feel comfortable with connecting to our own inner wisdom. The elders are a reminder that we are not practicing a fad. The elders are a reminder that we are indeed connected to something that has roots. The wisdom we receive from those roots, gives us wings to soar to our greatness collectively and individually.

"I have been initiated to the Egungun “a-goon-goon” (ancestral society in Oyatunji Afrikan Village in South Carolina (April 1998), and initiated and ritually trained in Dahomey/Benin Republic to Oya (January 1999) and Sango (August 2000). Elevated & Coronated as Queen "LaReine/Olori" March 2003 in Benin Republic. Initiated to Ifa (May 2013), lastly, I was initiated to the Ogboni Society (October 2018)

As an Oya priestess she has taken me to many parts of West Africa and in various parts of the world; however, there is no place like home ~Dahomey.

My teachings of Orisa worship has been taught to me by my Elders in both Dahomey and Nigeria and by my late Godmother Iyalosa Osunbamike Aduke (ibae). Currently, my Oluwo the former Araba of Ekiti State is Kabiyesi Chief Bode Fasuyi who is based in California.

I am honored to be an elder for Dawtas of the Moon and part of an amazing team of elders.
My spiritual journey has covered over 35 years of practical application of rituals and learning and it is my honor to share that knowledge.

I was initiated in Northern Haiti in the small town of Limonade, and yes I do have my asson and bell. I have lived in Cuba, Jamaica and the Bahamas and have a Master of Science in Conflict Management.

My specialization of addressing and resolving conflict includes spiritual conflict with a focus on personal relationships. From ancestor altars to candle magik, my focus is on helping individuals understand how to incorporate the spiritual practices of our Ancestors into their every day lives.

Most recently I have been helping organizations understand the fundamental reasons why so many of us (People of Color) are leaving Christianity and engaging in ATS. As I learn and grow, it is my honor to continue to share that knowledge with the members and participants of Dawtas of the Moon.
