Who is The Occult Mama?
Iya Omitola’s journey is no different from many women who are striving to find their truth and walk comfortably within that truth. She has had to do a great deal of healing and self-discovery. During this time, she has sat at the feet of many wonderful teachers who have assisted her in adding healing tools to her tool box for self-healing. These are the tools that she has also used to assist women as they seek their own answers. Occult (according to Wikipedia) The occult (from the Latin word occultus "clandestine, hidden, secret") is "knowledge of the hidden". This term is so appropriate for what women seek. Often, we hide our own dreams and passions in order to dawn a mask that pleases everyone but the person looking back at us in the mirror. One day, you end up staring at her, trying to figure out who she is and how the two of you became so disconnected. The word occult is so appropriate because every woman will get to the point of having to dig deep, beyond what they have been taught to be true and be brave enough to discover their own truth. The knowledge of the hidden is when you have opened the pathways enough to begin connecting to information that is encoded in your DNA. Information from the wombs that have moved through this realm before you. The womb is the heart of a woman, and when there is no womb….the heart becomes the womb of a woman. This two organs are connected and can help guide you. The biggest lesson that Iya Omi has learned on her journey is that the answers a person seeks for healing are beneath the surface. In each of us there is “knowledge of the hidden” passed down to use genetically. Some information will require having a guide to assist you and other information will come to you as you began to trust your own inner voice, understand your dreams, and signs around you. Iya Omi helps women discover their own power using divination, numerology, spiritual counseling and more. Iya Omitola is a Priestess of Yemoja. Her godmother is Iyanifa Alase Ogunsina "Olori."
