In light of current events relating to the COVID19 pandemic, we are making some changes to this years convention. We know that everyone is working together with their family to make it though this time. Some of you have been laid off, others are essential workers and out there on the front line. Together, we are just trying to make it through each hour and trying to find and maintain joy in our lives. It is our hope that having the convention online will help to bring some joy and normalcy for all who are able to participate.
We are using this year's convention to help support many of our black business owned by women. Part of your payment will be used to purchase item from as many vendors as we can so that they can be set aside for our members. Please understand that the supplies will be limited and on a first come, first serve basis. We will also as our vendors to offer discounts (determined by the vendor) to our members so that those who are not able to take advantage of the prepaid items can have some benefit and be encouraged to help support our community of black women entrepreneurs.
What to know before you register
Will the convention be in person?
No. Due to the COVID19 pandemic and its uncertainty, we have made the decision to have an online convention.
How will we access the online convention?
We will be using WEBEX. You will receive an email 2 weeks before the event with log in information. You will also receive reminders on the day of the event.
Do I need a computer to participate?
No. A computer would be ideal so that you can see the different presentations and presenters. However, you can also call into the convention and that information will be included with the email with the log in information.
Can I share with a friend?
We ask that you refrain from sharing the link with anyone. You are paying your hard earned money to be able to participate in this and so should everyone else.
Will I have access to a recording?
It is our desire to record this event. The app we are using does have that feature. Every member will have life time access to the recording and every nonmember will be able to enjoy the recording for up to 30 days.
How do I become a member?
Visit our membership page and register. There is an annual fee of $25 dollars. The membership gives you a discount on the convention fee.
Are there refunds?
No. We are not only paying for the platform but we are also providing a love offering to the presenters. We also plan on using some of the proceeds to stimulate our community vendors.
